Dalby Forest - mountain biking, zip-wiring, Gruffalo trails and more
Dalby Forest, situated on the southern slopes of the North York Moors National Park, is home to one of the best mountain biking spots in the country. With 35 miles of tracks across 8600 acres of woodland, it hosts the UCI Mountain Biking World Cup and is considered the best cross-country world cup route in the UK. Whilst experienced riders will find the hair-raising 21-mile rollercoaster red route exhilarating, there are also plenty of gentle trails for families.
For the non-mountain bikers Dalby still has plenty to offer not least its stunning beauty set as it is on the North York Moors. There is a zip wire adventure through the treetops with go-ape and plenty of walking trails, an excellent visitor centre (open 9.30 to 4.30) and an observatory.
